thanks, it helped! for some reason, my file didnt have the topo= …. line. Now i fixed it and it works.

That symptom (claiming that the CD isn't in the drive) sounds like the same problem I had with Safedisc (for Civ 4), so you might try the sd4hide program linked from here: http://www.eclectic-mayhem.com/blog/2005/12/fighting-with-civilization-ivs-copy.html

thanks! i tried sd4hide, but it looks like safedisc wasn’t the problem here. you did inspire me to keep investigating, though, and i finally figured it out. phew!

Im running vista and I dont have the badmojo.ini in windows dir, so it doesnt work for me :/
