Ahhh ok. Yes, I see it on https://brid.gy/mastodon/@cagrimmett@toot.cafe. Bridgy is “promiscuous” and discovers endpoints and sends webmentions everywhere it can that’s appropriate, including this one.
(I was originally excited because I thought you meant someone else’s backfeed implementation, separate from Bridgy altogether 😆)

No, I merely meant that I had never set up this, i.e., my, Mastodon account with Bridgy yet still got sent a mention.(I did at one point implement my own “Bridgy alternative” in the form of a WP plugin that would regularly poll Mastodon’s API for replies to crossposted notes of like the last 3 weeks or so. Turned out it was still a lot of API calls, 😅 plus I kinda dropped backfeeding reactions altogether)
