we must be talking about different things then. changed my password just weeks ago, to a random 24 character sequence. i use a password manager. i have good security hygiene. @KentonVarda must too. and still, account recovery prompts from all over the world, same as before.

Several times a day, someone initiates account recovery on my Gmail account, and I get prompted on my phone to accept or reject it. I’m terrified that I’ll accidentally touch “yes”. How do I block these? I already have 2FA enabled.

I have the exact same anxiety about it. It’s because the UI is not clear that is going to ask you yes or no, and not register your click as a yes by touching the notification.

(i do still wish there was a way to disable them entirely though. 2-3 per day on average is a small irritation, but an irritation nonetheless.)
