I've never followed the Epstein thing closely, but I've always wondered at the aggressiveness and extent of the guilt-by-association. It seems like he had a wide network. I have to assume at least some people associated with him but had no clue about his horrible sex crimes…?
@snarfed.org Joi Ito, the Media Lab director, took money for MIT from Epstein despite explicitly being told not to take money from him because he was a convicted sex offender. Also there’s specific awful things like women at my graduate department being told to stay home from the office that day because Epstein was visiting. Joi knew.
