Hi everyone! Welcome to another Bridgy Fed status update!
Our biggest focus since last time was migration and credible exit: letting you move your bridged accounts onto and off of the bridge, in both directions, on every network. We also worked on more cost cutting and other internal improvements.
Here are all the other features and changes we’ve shipped recently:
- Preserve whitespace more faithfully
- Label automated accounts as bots
- Support more than four images in Atmosphere (Bluesky) posts
- Include aspect ratio with images to the fediverse
- Add IndieAuth login to the web UI
- When a new user joins, DM everyone who requested them
- Include account links for more networks
- Encrypt private keys in the datastore.
…and bug fixes:
- Images not displaying on the Atmosphere (Bluesky)
- HTML showing up in content warnings
- Web login issues with Mastodon and Atmosphere
- Fix Atmosphere login for PDSes that require appview proxying, eg Tranquil
- Update docs for Mastodon’s web site verification
- Fix misc invalid website errors
- Make unfollows more reliable
