Apart from the result itself, my biggest takeaway from this US election was the pleasant surprise that the polling itself seemed largely uneventful, and candidates didn’t dispute or fight the results in any big, systematic ways.

Makes me cautiously hopeful for 2028. Peaceful transition of power, indeed.
